STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex declined 0.3% to 85,551, while the broader NSE index NIFTY declined 0.1% to 26,172 weighed down by a fall in heavyweight financial stocks.
RUPEE:
The Indian rupee USDINR dropped 0.06% versus the U.S. dollar to 83.70, pressured by month-end dollar demand from importers, including local oil companies.
GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond (IN071034G=CC) was quoted at 102.35 rupees, with the yield up 4 bps at 6.76% after government maintained its borrowing target in its scheduled after market hours on thursday.
OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS:
The one-year overnight index swap rate (INR1YMIBROIS=CC) was up 1 basis point at 6.37%, while the five-year swap rate (INR5YMIBROIS=CC) rose 4 bps to 6.02%.
CALL MONEY:
India's overnight call money (INROND=) rate was at 6.50% and the overnight TREPS rate (INTREPTOT=TCCL) was at 6.25%.
